About NEXUS

NEXUS is a daily connecting-word puzzle. Every displayed fragment forms a familiar compound word, expression, title, or phrase with the same hidden link. For example, fly, camp, place, and work all connect through fire: firefly, campfire, fireplace, and firework. Your task is to identify that one linking word within six submitted guesses.

The link does not have to appear on the same side of every fragment. It may go before one clue, after another, or use a mixture of both directions. Read each candidate combination aloud and consider ordinary spacing or hyphenation; the relationship matters, not how a dictionary prints it. A strong guess should explain every fragment naturally, rather than fitting only the easiest pair.

Begin with the most distinctive fragment, list a few words that commonly accompany it, then test those candidates across the remaining clues. If several possibilities survive, the awkward fragment is usually the best tie-breaker. Each miss reduces the guesses left but does not expose your answer to other players. A hint can reveal the next letter of the link when recognition stalls, and the result records that help honestly.

The share card shows a recognizable solved or failed pattern, guess count, hint use, and daily streak without including the hidden link or your guesses. Everyone receives the same numbered puzzle until the global reset at 00:00 UTC. A reopened daily restores your progress and is counted only once. Archive and Random past puzzle links open aired entries in practice mode, whose bounded records remain separate from daily streaks and lifetime distributions. You can therefore revisit older connections without rewriting today's result or gaining information about a future puzzle.
